Greetings everyone for 2010! Its been a spring of summers this year.......................rain, 25 degrees C and "gothic" winds all in one day.......................... The glaciers around the region are in great shape...........most crevassing occurring at less than 2000 metres and a very strong and deep snowpack above 2000 metres.............................................................The weather seems to have settled into a slightly different pattern with warm moist days (95% humidity) and thus some towering cumulous nimbus clouds have been produced.......................pack your rain parka and pants wherever you go this summer.................. IMG has been busy with all sorts of adveture and action ranging from glacier inspections, to bridge inspections, to Mount Barth ascents, rock climbing and alpine instruction, banner and flag installations, glacier and heli hikes, and a flurry of film safety work coming up!.................................................. They say there is "no rest for the wicked" and how true is that...............? Be safe make some sensible calls and above all extend yourself safely! Cheers the IMG team.
